What is This?

My husband is on an 18 hour road trip coming home from 2 weeks in Maryland. Along the way he is stopping and picking up things for my shop. This is the photo he just sent me. Any idea what this was used for?

  1. Definitely looks like a dairy crate for milk.

  2. Do you know who the Pinkerton's are!!? It was a detective agency launched in the 1850s. They were super famous, sometimes not for the right reasons. They were hired by businesses to root out union members and break strikes.

If you've ever watched any westerns, there was probably a Pinkerton detective in the cast.

I wonder why they were protecting a milk crate!

What a cool find! Too bad (for me) it's already sold out!
